Adoption is a delicate process: it is more delicate than an open-heart transplant, because the law
weaves together a new family.
The goal of Steffas &
Associates, P.C. is not to accomplish a large volume of adoptions; instead, the goal of Steffas & Associates, P.C. is
to ensure that all parties to the adoption are satisfied with the process and the outcome. Adoptive parents should feel positive
about the encounter with the birth parents, and the birth parents should feel that they made the right choice for their child.
The birth parents and the adoptive parents should make arrangements regarding the amount of contact that they plan to have
as the child grows older. There should be no question left unanswered.
Adoption is a life long process.
It does not end with the final adoption decree. Steffas & Associates, P.C. wants adoptive parents, birth parents and adopted
children to know that Steffas & Associates, P.C. is always available to provide adoption support.
