October
4th, 2007: Angels in Adoption Gala (Washington, D.C.) Irene was awarded the Angels in Adoption Award in recognition of her
contribution to foster children and orphans.
October 11th and 12th, 2007: Irene spoke at the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys Mid-Year Conference in Baltimore,
MD: International Adoption, After the Hague.
November 2, 2007: Irene was invited to speak at the State Bar of Georgia
Headquarters at the Recent Developments in Adoption Law and Practice in Georgia ICLE. The presentation focused on
"What every attorney needs to know about intercountry adoptions".
December , 2007: Publication of Carine's article entitled
"Understanding the Effects of Consular Relations on the Representation of Foreign National" in the December
issue of the Georgia Bar Journal.
December 14, 2007: Irene spoke
at the 2007 Adoption Law Institute held in New York City, and sponsored by the Practicing Law Institute (PLI).
December 20, 2007: Carine was invited to host a seminar at the Adoption Department
of the Conseil General de l'Isere, in Grenoble, France, to present the topic of "Domestic and International
Adoption in the United States".

28, 2007: Carine is invited to be the discussion leader of the intercountry adoption panel at the 2008 AILA Annual Conference
in Vancouver, Canada. Panelists include Karen Law and Cynthia Hill.
